Named after Little Leaguer Richard “Rick” Oden, this nearly 37-acre linear park offers fun for the entire family with baseball fields, a picnic area, and a playground on-site, located just one-half east of South Garland Road off of Miller Road. Home to the Jack Coleman Tennis Center, the much-loved Rick Oden Park attracts tennis fanatics from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Whether you are looking to tighten up your backhand for tournament play or you are just looking to add some cardio to your weekly routine, the Jack Coleman Tennis Center has you covered. 

Thanks to the passing of the 2019 Bond, Rick Oden Park is scheduled for major upgrades, including a new regional playground, a regional skatepark (not part of 2019 bond), pedestrian bridge, shade structures, benches, drinking fountains, restrooms, trails, sports field renovations, paving improvements and general site infrastructure improvements.  Find out more details and follow the updates on the City’s Bond Project webpage.
